Duncan Land. Digital Portfolio

Duncan Land is a Student of Digital Animation at the British Colombia Institute of Technology.

Duncan aspires to be a valued environment artist in the video game Industry. He was introduced to video games at four, and by thirteen he was spending more time developing modifications for his favorite games rather than playing them. As an aspiring environment artist and level designer, Duncan spent the years through high school making his own levels run on games such as "Half-Life 2". He always works his hardest to ensure the highest quality in any production he is involved in.

In high school, Duncan was the only student to take the "Industrial Design 12" course. He was allowed to construct the course's curriculum himself, leaving the original 100-hour curriculum behind. In the end, he spent over 300 hours during the year designing and developing a modification for "Half-Life 2" titled "Mostly Harmless", which played for about 20 minutes.

Duncan gained experience in a teamwork environment and solving problems through working 2 years as a Parts Handler at NAPA Auto Parts. He hopes to get a job in a video game company after his year at BCIT. He can most reliably be contacted by emailing duncanalexland@gmail.com, but can also be contacted at (778) 928 0309 or (604) 467 0209.
